Lord Jesus have mercy,
Sustain me Lord,
Just as You have spoken.
Lord Jesus have mercy.
Please do not delay.
I’m filthy and bloody;
Stuck deep in the fray.
When shields shake,
And rifles crack;
When fire falls heavy,
And the enemy attacks.
I need you Lord.
For my strength is failing.
My feeble power,
Is unavailing.
A man will not,
Prevail by his might.
Only after surrender,
Can he truly fight.
Surrender to,
The King of kings.
He reigns on high,
And to us He brings,
Strength, shelter,
And grace to spare.
Where He is,
Defeat isn’t there.
Lord of hosts,
Have mercy on me.
I’ve wandered and strayed;
I’ve spurned Your decree.
I’ve stumbled and fallen,
Into sin.
My heart rages hot,
Like a furnace within.
Yahweh of hosts,
I need your mercy.
For Your cleansing Spirit,
Father I’m thirsty.
Of my sin,
Wash me clean.
And my blackened heart,
Do make pristine.
Remake me Lord.
For I am undone.
I’ve fallen from grace;
Lost sight of the Son.
Invade my soul,
With glorious light.
Cast out the darkness,
And put it to flight.
There’s not a sinner,
That you don’t love.
Jesus please,
Send help from above.
I receive your forgiveness;
Your mercy and grace.
Now oh Lord,
Please shine on my face.
Unmuzzle my mouth,
To declare your fame.
Unbind my hands,
To write of Your name.
You are holy, gracious;
Powerful and Light.
Thank you for your mercy,
And rescue from my plight.
Jesus, Your mercy,
Is offered to all.
You didn’t abandon us,
After our fall.
Instead you came,
To stand in our place.
You invaded the darkness,
With truth and with grace.
You went into the ground,
For a very short time.
You rose in three days,
In beauty divine.
Come one and all,
Be rid of death’s sting.
His mercy is for you.
He’s Jesus the King.
