The Most High laughs,
As the rulers plot and scheme.
They think that they are clever,
As they profit from suffering.
Little do they know,
They will give account,
To King of kings,
When here their time runs out.
What profit will they gain,
When all is said and done?
All go to the grave;
Each and every one.
The wicked think that they,
Can thwart the plan of God.
By their selfishness and evil,
They act like they are gods.
But they, like you and I,
Are merely mortal men.
All must stand before the Maker,
What good’s ill-profit then?
Can the lowly ant,
Impede an elephant?
Can a wisp of web,
Halt the Rock’s descent?
The good will of our God,
Will surely be accomplished.
Those who do oppose Him,
Will fall and be demolished.
Kiss the Son and fall,
At His feet beg for mercy.
Your power has been given,
To help the starved and thirsty.
All that we possess,
Has been given by the King.
We will unto Him answer,
For our stewarding.
He commands that we act justly,
And show kindness to the weak.
All those who don’t act thusly,
Will for their actions speak.
None of us are perfect,
And Jesus knows this well.
But there’s a difference between stumbling,
And those who in darkness dwell.
Come to Him you rulers,
Thank Him for your station.
Give shelter to the needy,
And aid their situation.
Power comes from God,
As do all things you know.
He searches every heart,
Do not make Him your foe.
One day He will return;
His Kingdom will meet earth.
There will be no end of joy,
Eternal life and endless mirth.
All those who scoff at Him,
Will not there be welcome.
Be a faithful steward;
And those in need do help them.
Lord Jesus please come quickly,
And help me to be faithful.
Apart from Your enabling,
My life will be disgraceful.
