Yahweh Rules the skies,
He’s the Sovereign of all lands.
The High King of heaven,
Forever glorious He stands.
The earth He did form,
With the word of His mouth.
He holds all together,
From the north to the south.
He can do all things,
And much good He has done.
He has ransomed creation,
With the death of His Son.
He is also called Jesus,
The unique Son of God.
The crown jewel of heaven,
On this earth He has trod.
The reason He came,
To earth as a man,
Was to fulfill,
His gracious good plan.
He made all of us,
To worship and love Him.
But our sin separated,
Us in darkness so dim.
To remedy this,
He laid down His life.
The ground of this earth,
With His blood became rife.
The same holy God,
In whose hands the seas fit,
Dove down into darkness,
To save us from the pit.
He is beautiful, noble,
Selfless and humble.
In His love and His glory,
With death He did rumble.
Evil thought it had won;
The enemy cackled.
When it saw the good Lord,
Beaten and shackled.
But the fallen ones learned,
That they’d been beat.
When after three days,
Jesus rose to His feet.
The Lamb that was slain,
Judah’s own Lion.
Walked out of the grave,
To the praise of all Zion.
Rejoice all creation!
We’ve good reason for mirth.
For the High King of heaven
Has risen up from the earth!
All mortal men,
Now we’ve nothing to fear.
For the Lord Jesus,
To us has drawn near.
Praise God in heaven.
Praise Him, all nations.
Our High King, Lord Jesus,
Has saved us from damnation.
