Cling to the Maker.
Cling and hold fast.
For apart from Him,
None among us can last.
Yahweh is holy.
He is enthroned above.
He’s mighty like a lion,
And delicate like a dove.
Come learn from Jesus,
And sit at His feet.
Harken to the Teacher;
You will taste His love sweet.
Heed not the darkness,
It speaks only deceit.
For all who trust Jesus,
It will from them retreat.
Are you weary and tired;
Hollowed out by life’s pain?
Do you carry a load,
Under which you can’t remain?
Come to the Maker.
Cast your burden on Him.
Partake of His comfort,
And be filled to the brim.
His yoke it is easy,
And His burden is light.
Trust in the Lord Jesus,
And rest in His might.
Our Lord is so loving;
So gentle and pure.
He longs to save sinners,
And dead hearts to bestir.
Though once we were lost,
And dead in our sin.
King Jesus the Great,
Through suffering did win.
We were cut off from God,
The source of all life.
But to bring us to Him,
He endured great strife.
He was mocked and beaten;
Crucified on a tree.
But three days later,
He rose in victory.
Who could imagine,
A Maker so kind?
He gave His own blood,
To give sight to the blind.
Now freely He offers,
Life to our dead souls.
All we need do is trust Him,
To have our name on life’s scrolls.
Cling to the Maker.
Love Him and hold fast.
Because He resurrected,
We too now shall last.
Thank you Lord Jesus;
Blessed be Your name.
Thank you my Maker,
For rescuing us from flame.
There is none like You;
So gracious and kind.
May Your heart and mine,
Be forever entwined.
