The violent and wicked,
Lash out and rebel.
Their rage leads them,
To where light does not dwell.
They think themselves strong,
Yet they are enslaved.
They will be undone,
By the violence they’ve craved.
Hate is a cruel,
And voracious taskmaster.
All who worship and follow;
It leads to disaster.
Feed not your rage;
Starve out your hate.
Do not wait until,
For you it’s too late.
There’s One who has come,
To free us from sin.
In true might and love,
He did conquer and win.
Surrender to Jesus;
Lay down your hate.
Repent and find mercy;
For His grace is great.
Those who by the sword live,
Shall die by it too.
So believe in Jesus;
For that need not be you.
His love and mercy,
He offers to all.
All who trust in Him,
Will rise and not fall.
King Jesus descended,
From heaven above.
He conquered the darkness,
With infinite love.
Violence is not strength;
It is no true power.
Look ye to Jesus;
How He did devour.
He swallowed up death.
It has been defeated.
All this He did,
And no violence was needed.
Why then praise death?
Why feed into rage?
These beasts cannot help you,
Their thirst can’t be assuaged.
It is your own soul,
They enslave and feed on.
They hollow you out,
And soon you’ll be gone.
Come to King Jesus.
Be made whole and filled.
Come feast with the Father,
For so He has willed.
Lay down your strivings,
Your hate and your arms.
Come drink from the Fountain,
And rest in His arms.
