Are You Weary And Broken?

Are you weary and broken?
Has life beat you down?
Are you struggling in sorrow,
And in fear you’ll soon drown?

Are you scrambling for purchase,
On the slope of despair?
Do you look to the heavens,
And wonder if God does care?

Take heart child of God.
Cast your burdens on Him.
Weep and wail on His chest,
Be embraced by His limbs.

For our Lord has descended,
And drank deep of our pain.
He’s shouldered our sorrows,
That we mightn’t know them again.

King Jesus the just,
Has conquered the night.
He swallowed the darkness,
With His great light.

He knows how it is,
To feel anguish of soul.
For our sakes He suffered,
And died on a pole.

Jesus shouldered a burden,
Of infinite weight,
So that by His blood,
He could wipe clean our slate.

The debt that we owe,
For sin we can’t pay.
But the loving Lord Jesus,
Himself made the way.

Yes we have trouble,
In this world; that’s true.
But the Spirit of Jesus,
Will carry us through.

He is leading all those,
Who do in Him trust.
To an undying land,
Without rot or rust.

He is coming back soon,
And will not delay.
Cast your burden on Him,
And at His feet stay.

‘Come all who are weary,’
For so He has spoken.
He will restore you,
And rebuild what is broken.

His love is for you,
And for all mankind.
Another more loving,
You’ll surely not find.

Come and meet Jesus.
Give Him your grief.
He longs to hold you,
And give you relief.

Come to the fountain,
From where true life flows.
To all who trust Jesus,
Peace and life He bestows.
