This Life’s Not The End

This life’s not the end.
There is so much more.
A new world is coming,
For us to explore.

Freedom, sweet freedom,
Blessed freedom from sin.
Freedom to love,
And live with our redeemed kin.

Though in Christ we’re free,
Still down here below,
We battle with sin,
Till upward we go.

The burden is heavy,
And suffer we must,
But Jesus will bring us,
Where there’s not rot nor rust.

Though now we struggle,
Soon we will be done.
Our place is in heaven,
With God’s only Son.

A new world is coming;
He’ll make all things new.
A glorious land,
With so much to do.

There will be exploration,
Great songs and fine art.
We’ll then have strong bodies,
And in sport take part.

Work will be redeemed;
No longer mere toil.
A land where decay,
Will not our work despoil.

We will sing, dance,
And rejoice in our King.
We’ll have feasts and toast,
To Life’s own Wellspring.

He’s preparing a table;
There’s celebration to come.
We’ll dwell in His house;
Never His presence leave from.

There’ll be death, disease,
And suffering no more.
Only fullness of life;
Eternal joy is in store.

This glorious future,
Is open to all.
To those who trust Jesus,
And on His name call.

He is rich in mercy;
His heart’s full of love.
In full truth and grace,
He came down from above.

Christ Jesus our Lord,
Died for you and me.
With His blood He paid,
For our debt on a tree.

After He was buried,
He rose from the dead.
All this He did,
So we may with Him tread.

Come now to Jesus,
And receive eternal life.
He offers a future.
In which joy is rife.

This life’s not the end.
There’s so much in store.
With Jesus there’s love,
And pleasure for evermore.
