Jesus lifts us up
To dwell on His mountain.
He bids us to come,
And drink from the Living Fountain.
Streams of mercy,
From His throne flow,
To cleanse and redeem us,
Who dwell here below.
He is the Lord;
The true King of kings.
He is righteous and mighty;
He rules over all things.
From us He’s not distant;
Not one little bit.
To reclaim and restore us,
He dove into the pit.
Our Lord is a warrior,
Yahweh is His Name.
He is the good Shepherd,
Who rescues His sheep from flame.
His Law, it is holy,
Perfectly just and true.
And though we rebelled,
He paid for us what is due.
Only one thing could cleanse us;
The blood of the Divine.
Why would the Lord do this?
He says, “Because you’re mine.”
From life with Him,
We fell to languish in sin.
But Jesus lowered Himself,
To lift us up with Him.
The broken and shattered,
Who dwell in the dust,
He lifts up from the ashes;
All we need do is trust.
Trust in His name;
That He paid the price.
Our works cannot save us;
Christ alone will suffice.
He is loving and mighty;
For He has conquered death.
He is the good Shepherd,
Who gave us His own breath.
He makes us His children,
And redeems us from sin.
To all who call to Him,
He says, “Welcome in.”
Jesus is the King,
Who laid down His life.
To rescue us from our struggles,
He drank deep the world’s strife.
He descended into,
Utter darkness pitch black.
He set His face toward His task,
And did not look back.
He determined to save us,
And lift us from the grave.
All hail the Lord Yahweh;
He’s King Jesus the Brave.
