Christ Jesus is worthy;
Worthy of our praise.
He is worthy of worship,
As we weather dark days.
He’s the Lord of creation,
Who made us by His Word.
He longs to live with us,
And show love unheard.
The love of our Lord,
Is like no other on earth.
He came to die for us,
Shortly after His birth.
In the prime of His life,
As adulthood began,
For us He was cut down;
It was His own plan.
He was crushed and beaten,
For the sin of mankind.
The punishment we deserve,
To Him was assigned.
It should have been us,
Who bled and died on that hill.
But King Jesus said, “No.
It’s Me death will kill.
My sheep, they have wandered.
Now they are Death’s slave.
To redeem and reclaim them,
I’ll descend to the grave.”
This King, He is worthy,
Of all honor and praise.
He is mighty, yet gentle;
Selfless in all His ways.
He’s the Lord Almighty,
Who comes to us in the storm.
He walks on raging seas,
And rescue does perform.
Though He breathed His last,
In agony on the beam,
Victorious He rose,
And He reigns now supreme.
Christ Jesus is risen!
Sing praise to His name.
The conquering slain Lamb,
Has saved us from the flame!
He has come to our rescue;
He brings shelter and aid.
With His hope in our hearts,
We need not be dismayed.
He is worthy of worship,
And praise at all times.
He bore the penalty,
We deserve for our crimes.
Praise Him for His mercy,
And His unending grace.
Bask in the light,
Of His glorious face.
All creatures below,
And all those above,
Praise the name of Jesus,
And rejoice in His love.
