Though we face trials,
Sickness and sword,
Still we will rejoice,
For we walk with the Lord.
Our God who is with us,
Is an all consuming flame;
A strong refuge and shelter,
To all who call on His Name.
He is mighty and gentle;
Infinitely loving and just.
He’s proved over and over,
He is worthy of trust.
He cares for the weak,
And makes the lame strong.
He laid down His own life,
To right our every wrong.
This world may be dark,
And with sorrows abound,
But we’ve call to rejoice,
For we’re not lost, we’re found.
The Lord Jesus is with us;
He will never depart.
In whatever we face,
He will strengthen our heart.
He loves us so dearly;
He’s called us His own.
He came to us in darkness,
Bringing light from His throne.
We are never alone,
If we trust in Him.
To redeem and reclaim us,
He stretched His mighty limbs.
The same hands that shaped,
Every mountain and sea,
Carried our guilt,
And were nailed to a tree.
He descended into,
Death’s pit of despair.
For we, His beloved,
Were trapped deep down there.
He bore the world’s sin,
Swallowed suffering and pain,
So that you and me,
Could live with Him again.
The Lord Jesus is with us,
Even through death.
We are the reason,
He bled and wept.
He will not now leave us,
Even in darkest night.
For the Lion of Judah,
Will for His sheep fight.
Eternal life, peace,
And joy without measure,
Is the inheritance of all,
Who’ve made Yahweh their treasure.
We can hardly imagine,
The joy that’s in store,
As we walk with Jesus,
For evermore.
Wherever we go,
We walk with the Lord.
No power of darkness,
Can take our reward.
