When the storms of life come,
And they fearful pain bring,
Look up to Jesus;
Keep your eyes on the King.
For He reigns on high,
And He does oversee,
Everything that happens,
To you and to me.
When the wind does howl,
And the mighty waves roar,
Cry out to the One,
Who all our sin bore.
He is with us in trouble;
We are never alone.
To all that trust in Him,
Is grace and love shown.
When the flood waters rise,
And the earth itself shakes,
Seek refuge in the One,
Who us never forsakes.
Jesus is faithful,
In sickness and health.
He delights ro raise up,
The impoverished to great wealth.
In this I speak not,
Of earthly riches that fade.
I speak now of heaven,
And things eternally made.
For our King, He has promised,
To deliver His sheep,
Through death unto life,
Where we’ll no longer weep.
To do this He descended;
He faced shame and scorn.
For our sin He was bloodied;
His precious body was torn.
He weathered the storm,
Of God’s holy wrath.
He paid for our sin,
And His cross forged the path.
The path to redemption,
Eternal life, joy and love,
Is found only in,
Jesus who came from above.
If in Him you’ve trusted,
No storm of this life,
Can snatch you away,
From Him who with love is rife.
He is our ark;
In all storms a safe haven.
The proof of His love,
On His hands is engraven.
When the storms of life howl,
And toss you to and fro,
Pour your heart out to Jesus;
Tell Him your sorrow.
He will give you sweet comfort,
And your heart He will uplift.
For no storm in this life,
Can rob you of His gift.
He who paid our ransom,
Will hold us fast.
Soon all storms of life,
Will forever be past.
