Crown Him Lord,
Give glory to His name,
King Jesus has devoured,
All our sin and shame.
On the cross His blood was spilled,
Though He did not deserve to die.
In selfless love Jesus fulfilled,
The Father’s plan decreed on high.
As Sovereign Lord now crown Him;
Give glory to His name.
He dove into depths dark grim,
To snatch us from the flame.
Though once adorned with thorn,
Radiant light now crests His brow.
Though on earth He faced much scorn,
Every knee to Him shall bow.
As Lord of All we crown Him;
His eyes shine bright like fire.
As we drowned, to us He did swim,
To pull us out the mire.
Jesus looked upon us all,
From His lofty throne on high;
Did not despise us in our fall,
But in our place He chose to die.
Crown Him the Lord of Light,
For He descended to the pit.
The Light shone on us in our plight,
To graciously our sin remit.
Though He was dead and buried;
For three days entombed in stone,
In the grave not long He tarried,
Risen, He sits on heaven’s throne.
Crown Him, the Lamb who was slain,
For by His stripes we are healed.
He conquered darkness, fear and pain;
And opened every scroll that’s sealed.
Jesus’ reign will last forever;
Heaven will come down to earth.
Restoring the bond our sin did sever,
He’s a pearl of priceless worth.
Crown Him the King of kings,
Cast every crown before His feet.
To all who trust Him life He brings;
A life of joy and love replete.
None who to Him cry out,
Will He despise or cast aside.
By grace through faith a true Redoubt;
No one will ever be denied.
Crown Him our Risen King;
Eternal life He gives to all.
Forever to Him my soul will sing,
Come join as at His feet we fall.
