The Risen Lamb

Jesus the Christ is truly glorious;
Three days entombed, He rose victorious;
Of all our praise He’s meritorious.

The Lamb of God was lifted up,
Pierced with nails draining wrath’s cup,
So that we might in Heaven sup.

Crown Him now; the King of glory,
By His selfless death most gory,
He transformed our sorry story.

The risen Lamb, to us has claim;
He devoured all our sin and shame,
And rescued us from Hell’s dark flame.

Christ the Lord, His love is selfless,
He did not react with selfness,
When He saw that we were helpless.

The Lamb descended from above,
Full of grace the just like a dove,
To give to us peace, truth and love.

He’s full of mercy and is gracious;
Victor over all foes mendacious,
And built for us a house palacious.

Of Jesus all creation sings,
Trusting Him new life in brings;
Life free of all sufferings.

Better than gifts, we get the Giver,
Who of our sin is a forgiver;
Us from hell, He did deliver.

To live with Him we were unfit,
But from this fate to us remit,
He dove headfirst into the pit.

As we gasped and grasped for air,
He stormed straight down into death’s lair,
To rescue our lost souls from there.

To all mankind His grace does flow,
And He wants us all to know,
Eternal life free of sorrow.

No one will He turn away,
For by His cross He made a way,
To eternal life free of decay.

If for true life your soul does ache,
The path to this, Jesus did make;
Look now to Christ and His hand take.
