The Only Way

In this life we will meet,
With dark ones from below.
They’ll offer to us lies, sweet,
That only lead to sorrow.

The enemy of Christ seeks,
To deceive and enslave.
The tender lies that it speaks,
Lead to an eternal grave.

By the grace of our God,
We must refuse this refuse;
Trust in Christ who has trod,
On Earth and faced this abuse.

We all have to make a choice,
Each and every day.
Will we obey Life’s voice,
Or wander into decay?

There’s many paths to choose from,
But only One leads to life.
Jesus is the Way to become,
New and live free from strife.

Hearken not to sin,
For it is a poisoned chalice.
Do not to darkness, listen,
However sweet, it’s pure malice.

The path to redemption,
To joy and long life,
Is free to all without exemption,
In Christ who with love is rife.

The good comfort He gives,
To all His precious sheep,
Is to know their Redeemer lives;
He dries their tears as they weep.

The road through this world is tough,
But Jesus, He is stronger.
As He guides us through the rough,
We know we won’t be here much longer.

Jesus is leading us to glory;
All those trust Him.
He’s writing a new story,
As we follow “higher up and further in.”

He leads us to a new world,
Free of sin, death and pain,
Where His banner victory is unfurled,
And we’ll explore exciting new terrain.

We’ll strike out on new adventures,
And be eternally young.
We’ll spend millenia on different ventures,
And joyful songs will be sung.

Jesus is the King,
Who rescues us from hell infernal.
Of His love and grace we sing,
As He leads us to life eternal.
