What Life Was Meant To Be

Among this life’s joys we cannot disregard,
Life in this world is perilous and hard.
None who enter here will transit unscarred,
For by sin and death, our existence is marred.

On this earth we face pain,
By and large, and in the main.
Suffering we encounter again and again,
But freedom from this, in Christ we can gain.

One day life will be,
What it was meant to be.
It will never end, and be free,
For Jesus Christ does guarantee,

All who trust in,
His sacrifice for sin,
Are welcomed within,
His Kingdom as kin.

He is Christ the Lord;
He was nailed to a board,
For love, His blood poured,
Because, us, He adored.

Christ’s love is pure and true,
It flows to me and you,
Our fears He does subdue,
Those who trust, He will renew.

He rose from death’s sieve,
Eternal life He does give;
In a perfect new world we will live,
For in His love, Jesus does forgive.

He adopts lost sheep as heirs,
Builds them up and repairs,
Lovingly listens to their prayers,
And new life over them declares.

We’ll live forever in a new Earth,
Full of love, peace and mirth,
Of sorrow there’ll be a dearth,
And we’ll have the Pearl of great worth.

Christ our King is the prize,
Who is loving and wise;
He gently opens our eyes,
And from the dead causes us to rise.

There is gladness and joy to be had here below,
But it hardly compares to the land where we’ll go.
Jesus our Lord, the one we follow,
Is leading us to a place that sorrow doesn’t know.

Praise the Lord, the King of Grace;
Jesus is the ruler of all time and space.
In love He laid down His life in our place,
He is the Redeemer of the Human race.
