The Father Receives Us

With wide open arms,
The Father receives us.
He faced our sin’s harms,
To save from judgement grievous.

None that in Him believe,
Will He reject.
He delights to us, receive,
On His love, let’s reflect.

Christ the Lord, He is God,
And He created us all.
Though made to with Him trod,
In our sin we did fall.

As we fell, His tears flowed,
For this was not His desire.
Though to us love He showed,
Instead we believed the liar.

But God our Father is rich,
In steadfast love and mercy.
He dove headfirst in our ditch,
And for our sakes became thirsty.

He sent His only Son,
To bear our sin and shame.
The war with death is now done;
He devoured our guilt and blame.

Christ Jesus the Righteous,
Died and rose from the dead.
He saved us from our great crisis,
When He suffered and bled.

Now indeed He is risen,
And all who trust Him shall live.
He broke the bars of sin’s prison,
And eternal life He does give.

Now to all He beckons;
Come to Him and be free.
Enjoy new life as He reckons,
It was always meant to be.

All will be received and welcomed,
Who trust in Jesus Christ.
For by His blood we’re ransomed;
Our debt for sin, His life sufficed.

Come now to the Father,
By trust and faith in His Son.
He does not think you a bother;
For you He faced death and won.

His heart is full of compassion,
And overflows with true love.
Though by sin we are ashen,
He’ll cleanse and raise us above.

Now to the Father, come quickly;
Make haste, do not delay.
Be enveloped by His love thickly,
By faith in Christ; the only way.
