Christ is forever glorious;
He’s risen from the dead.
Over darkness, He’s victorious,
For He faced death in our stead.
He looked on us and saw,
Our anguish and desperate need.
He stretched out His mighty paw,
To in our place die and bleed.
God who formed the Earth and Heaven,
Humbled Himself to be a Lamb.
He created all in days seven,
But Himself became the ram.
We were bound up on the altar,
To pay the just price for our sin.
But coming to rescue, He did not falter;
God took our place and welcomes us in.
Forever, God is faithful,
For in Christ, to us He’s come.
To Him we are forever grateful,
For what He’s saved us for and from.
With a word He raised up mountains;
By His decree He calms the sea.
His grace flows down from heavenly fountains,
And washes over you and me.
Jesus upholds all creation,
With His righteous, mighty hand.
His love endures to every generation,
For every people, tribe and land.
He is the God with no beginning,
And His reign will never end.
Though we rejected Him by sinning,
He gave His life for ours to mend.
He descended to the grave,
By way of bloody cross.
To save our souls He gave,
His own life to cleanse our dross.
Though dead and buried in the ground,
He rose up on day three.
All hail the King of Life who’s found,
A path to Him for you and me.
He’s accomplished a full redemption,
And gives new life that will not fade.
Jesus offers to all without exemption,
The chance to repent and be remade.
His glory endures forever;
King of kings He’s rightly crowned.
Because of His righteous endeavor,
From death, all who trust Him will rebound.
