Thank You Jesus, for giving me life,
And placing me in a world, that with Your fingerprints is rife.
All things that exist, are made and sustained by You;
The complex beauty of creation, of You, gives a view.
Although by mankind’s sin, this world has been marred,
You didn’t toss us aside with disgust and disregard.
Jesus You are our Maker, and Your heart’s full of love;
For this reason You descended to us from above.
For it was Your plan, from eternity past,
To restore us to life, and rebuild us to last.
This You did, by paying our debt;
Our rebellion and sin, with mercy, You met.
Thank You Jesus, for taking my sin,
For calling my name, and bringing me in.
I was lost in darkness, and by all others abhorred,
But You sought me out, and on me Your grace poured.
I had wandered far, and dishonored Your Name,
But You died for me, and shouldered my shame.
Thank You Jesus, for Your blood that was spilt,
And that with Your cross, a bridge to God You’ve built.
You willingly paid the cost of my redemption,
And granted to me, to join Your ascension.
Jesus, You alone, are the Life, Truth and Way;
Your face on me has shown, so I can face another day.
Thank You Jesus, for defeating the grave,
And that as Almighty God, You are mighty to save.
Your love for us, knows no bounds;
Lamb of God, in our place, You faced Hell’s hounds.
You were beaten, crushed, lacerated and torn;
Yet though You died, you emerged from the dead, Firstborn.
You walked out the tomb and devoured death;
Now all who trust You, are given eternal breath.
Thank You Jesus, my Lord God and King;
You are Creator and Savior; to You alone I will cling.
