Amidst The Pain

Lift your voice and praise the King of kings, the Fount of light and life.
By Jesus’ blood alone can we be saved from fear and strife.

Call out to Him amidst the pain, and He will bring you succor,
For He did not despise the adulteress when told to struck her.

He showed her mercy grace and peace and you will get the same;
So no matter what you’ve done, I urge you, call on Jesus’ name.
He will not abandon you to darkness, death and flame,
Because He paid for all your sin and devoured all your shame.

Praise God in Heaven, bow and kiss His feet.
Death by death He conquered, and Earth soon will meet,
With Him again when He descends to bring in justice sweet,
But only those who’ve trusted Him will view judgment a treat.

For when He comes He’ll bring an end to all sorrow, sin and pain,
And only we who’ve hid in Him will rise up in joy again.

So praise the Son, now everyone, and accept His gift of grace,
For fully God and fully man, He was killed for Adam’s race.

Our loving God knows what it is to live down here and suffer,
And for all of His fallen sheep, He is a gracious buffer.

To us He is an ark in which we’re sheltered from His wrath;
For Jesus Christ’s cross is the light to guide us on the path,

To life eternal, not Hell infernal, but pleasure for evermore.
For all who trust in Jesus Christ there’s eternal joy in store.

This free gift is offered now to each and everyone;
So, come now friend, lay down your burden and trust in God’s Son.
