Come To The Lord Jesus

Come to the Lord Jesus, and He will give you rest.
Pour out your heart before Him; weep and wail upon His chest.

Express to Him your sorrows; He is eager to listen.
He will comfort you as you weep, for, He’s been in your position.

Jesus is well acquainted with grief; upon this Earth He wailed and groaned.
He bled and died for His sheep, as, by the Father, He was disowned.

For it was the plan of the Godhead, for Jesus to suffer and die.
Willingly, Jesus died in our stead, and to cleanse us of sin is why.

He will not now turn you away, if, His Name, you call upon.
He’ll hasten to you; don’t delay. Victory, over death, He has won.

He chose to leave the splendor of Heaven, in order to live with me and you.
He bore our sin and consumed our leaven, showing beyond all doubt His love is true.

Boldly come before His throne, and receive His mercy and grace.
It is in Him true peace is known; bask in the light of His beautiful face.

Fall to your knees before Him, and He will wash you clean.
He will forgive you your sin, and raise you up pristine.

Do you desire respite from your burden; are you worn, weary and broken?
Trade your sin for the cross of Jesus; it’s light though it is oaken.

For, in Christ the work is accomplished; in three days He rose from the grave.
Shrink not back, mouth agape and astonished, for, indeed He is mighty to save.

Come now to the Lord Jesus; accept His grace and receive a new heart.
Overflowing with love, He receives us, and from Him we’ll never be apart.
