All who trust Christ face hardship below,
But in Him we have hope, for, we do know,
In faith we press on to what lies ahead,
To a land without fear, where death is dead.
Though we may struggle under the beam’s weight,
Joyfully we march forward to Heaven’s gate.
Someday soon we will see Jesus’ face;
He’ll wipe away our last tear and will, us, embrace.
He will also create new heavens and Earth,
Where we’ll dwell with new bodies amidst endless mirth.
There will be no sorrow, sin or decay,
Joy and pleasure forever will increase each day.
We’ll be given new bodies, strong and free of disease;
We’ll never again know pain or weakness of knees.
Many songs will be sung and feasts will be had,
Like calves released from the stall we shall leap and be glad.
All this is possible because Jesus our king,
Descended from heaven to, grace and peace, bring.
For our sin and shame He was nailed to a pole;
He died in our place so we could be made whole.
Body cold and lifeless, He was placed in a tomb,
But then He rolled back the stone and declared death’s doom.
The Lamb of God has defeated the grave,
He’s achieved our redemption, and is mighty to save.
Now, for us, there is a place allotted,
In Christ Jesus’ kingdom where nothing is rotted.
By grace through faith, everyone’s sin, God forgives;
The one who believes in Jesus, eternally, lives.
Through the dark of this world, with the joy set before,
Walk hand in hand with Jesus, towards Heaven’s shore.
For God’s redeemed children the best is yet to come;
Passing through death itself, to the grave, we won’t succumb.
Take heart and take courage; be of good cheer,
Soon the troubles of this world will forever disappear.
All praise to the Father, and Jesus the Son,
He is risen, enthroned, and, the victory, has won.
