These frail husks, our bodies, are but a womb,
And from them we’ll be born into glory or doom.
The brief span of our life, we spend in this cocoon,
But one day we’ll break out, and that day will be soon.
Our short time here below, we are but on the doorstep,
Of the next stage of existence, and what we believe in does prep,
Us for what comes next, for, death is not the end.
And where we spend eternity, on our life here, does depend.
Note, it’s not what we do, but what we believe,
That determines whether horror or joy we receive.
From the moment of our first birth, we face condemnation;
We’ve all sinned against God, and for this deserve damnation.
But our God, He is gracious, and sent His only Son;
Christ Jesus our Savior Who, to our aid, did run.
While for sin we deserve death and eternal Hell,
God died in our place so that with Him we might dwell.
Now those who repent and trust Jesus are reborn;
He was crucified in weakness, but rose on the third morn.
Like it or not, this is the situation we’re in;
Believe and trust Jesus, or die in our sin.
Do not reject our God’s free, loving gift.
In love, He suffered and died to bridge sin’s rift.
By grace through faith, be born again into glory;
Do not allow Hell to be the end of your story.
Be restored to relationship with the God Who loves you.
Be born into His family and have Heavenly citizenship too.
These Earthly tents will wear out, but our souls will live on,
And all will be raised to exist forever anon.
We’ll be given new bodies that endure whither we’re going,
But only those who trust Jesus will, joy and pleasure, be knowing.
