Thank You God

Thank You God, my Creator,
For Your boundless grace and love.
You showed no one is greater,
When, humbly, You came from above.

You created all things,
In this great big universe.
You are truly King of kings,
And Your myriad excellencies are diverse.

Great and amazing are Your deeds;
Righteous acts and wonders from of old.
Your majesty infinitely exceeds,
That which of You has been told.

For, no mortal mind can contain,
Nor can any book or scroll,
The matchless splendor of Your Name;
We see but a small part of the whole.

Let every face bow low,
And all knees touch the ground.
Let praise to You, from all lips, flow,
And Your manifold excellencies expound.

Those who have ears but do not hear,
And eyes that refuse to see;
Hear ye, Salvation has drawn near,
And died for you on a tree.

For, each of us has sinned,
And we all deserve damnation,
But Christ Jesus looked on us, grinned,
And humbly came to our location.

He lived the perfect life we never could,
And for our sin chose to die.
Though He was killed when nailed to wood,
He is seated now on high.

Christ rose up from the grave,
And powerfully, sin and death, defeated.
He is loving, mighty to save,
And has, redemption’s work, completed.

Stumble not on this rock of offence.
Cease this fevered clutching of pearls.
God has shown us grace immense,
And around, all who trust Him, His arm curls.

Come now to the Savior,
Repent of sin and trust in Christ.
We’re not saved by good behavior,
But by trusting that His blood sufficed.

Thank you God in Heaven,
For Your abundant love and grace.
You Who created all in days seven,
Also died to save Adam’s race.

All who believe in You now,
Will be raised up from the fall.
Thanks for the privilege to, at Your feet, bow,
And answer to Your loving call.
