Believe In His Name

Jesus Christ is the Lord of all,
Believe in His Name or into darkness you’ll fall.

The wind and the sea submit to His command,
For us to worship and obey Him’s not an unjust demand.

By Him we were made, therefore, to Him we belong.
So, to rebel against Him is a traitorous wrong.

What then is the penalty in any just nation for treason?
It bears the sentence of death, and this is for good reason.

A ship that’s divided will flounder and drown,
And whether in the right or wrong, all aboard will go down.

So it is with God’s kingdom; sin won’t be allowed in.
Those who violate God’s law will not be brought within.

This news is tragic, for, we’ve all fallen short.
For our crimes against Heaven, to Hell, us, He’ll deport.

But take heart and rejoice, for, Jesus the King,
Has paid our ransom with His own suffering.

All can be washed clean, and, for their sin, forgiven.
All can be set free from death’s dark prison.

Jesus our Lord, in our place, was entombed.
He defeated the dark specter that over us loomed.

He rose from the dead in only three days.
He is righteous and holy; the eternal Ancient of Days.

Laud and adore Him; repent and in Him trust,
And be given eternal life in a land without rot or rust.

Sin leads to death, but faith in Christ leads to life,
Infinite joy, pleasure and freedom from strife.

Our good God loves to comfort, for, He is loving.
All who forsake sin and trust Him, away from them, death, He’s shoving.

He is the Good Shepherd who laid His life down for His sheep.
Jesus loves, adores us, and dries our tears as we weep.

Believe in our Creator King Who’s perfect in all His ways,
And be granted life and joy for an eternal length of days.
