Rise Up From The Tomb

The Father:
“Rise up now My Son;
Come out of the ground.
The war with sin and death is won;
The lost can now be found.

King of kings and Lord of lords,
Your enemies are a footstool for Your feet.
Though You were nailed to wooden boards,
Once again take Your rightful seat.

Rise up from the tomb,
And don Your resplendent crown.
Light of the world, dispel the gloom,
For no power can hold You down.

Be exalted now in glory;
Resume Your place enthroned on high.
Undisputed is Your victory,
For by Your death, death did die.”

The Son:
“Father, hallowed be Your Name;
By Our power, You’ve raised Me from the dead.
I’ve born all of mankind’s sinful blame,
And through the depths of Hell I’ve tread.

In power and might I’ve crushed the serpent,
Though it may have bruised My heel.
That rebel who rose against Us, usurpant,
Has been thrown down and made to kneel.

And now Father, I ask,
Raise up and purify My bride.
I have completed My redemptive task,
That Our people may again, with Us, reside.

For their sin I’ve propitiated;
Because of Our love for them, I was killed.
Let Our kingdom now, on Earth, be initiated;
That Our plan of salvation may be fulfilled.”

The Father:
“All this shall be done;
Send to Our people, the Holy Spirit.
The conquering of this world is done,
And no power of evil will, Our work, inhibit.

The bride of Christ shall be built and blessed;
People of every nation will be granted repentance.
All who trust Christ, with righteousness, shall be dressed,
And through them Our kingdom will advance.”

God’s People:
“Blessed are You our Lord and God;
You alone are mighty to save.
To devour our sin, You went under the rod,
And You rose up from the grave.

Because of Your love You have saved us,
And You alone are exalted high.
All praise be to Your Name King Jesus,
With Your blood, us from death, You did buy.”
