Come On Thirsty Souls

Come on thirsty souls, drink from the Water.
Be filled up and overflow with the Water of life.
Come on broken vessels to the Master Potter,
Be made new by the loving hands of Him Who bore our strife.

Come on weary pilgrim, lay down your burden.
Take shelter and find rest under Jesus’ wings.
Come you heavy laden, wandering, prodigal children.
To all who call on Jesus Christ, life and hope He brings.

Glory to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
I proclaim good news to all wish to hear it.
Us who’re lost in darkness God has deigned to visit.
All who trust in Him, their death, He will prohibit.

All of us have wandered and strayed into darkness,
But Jesus Christ the shining Light has come to us at last.
We forsook God’s garden for a land of waste and harshness,
But the love and mercy of our God is wholly unsurpassed.

Jesus Christ our Lord, descended from on high;
The holy, spotless Lamb of God, for our sin He died.
He became the ransom to us, back from death, buy.
In His plan to save mankind, He would not be denied.

Hallelujah to Jesus, the Lord of Light.
He did not abandon us unto the night.
In Him we have the victory; He wins every fight.
He has raised us to life and our future’s bright.

Christ said, “It is finished!”; He bore our condemnation.
Then He breathed out His last breath, and they put Him in a tomb.
But Jesus did not stay buried; the God of all creation.
Three days later He rose up in victory over the gloom.

So come my fellow sinners; Jesus’ arms are wide open.
Trade sin’s shackles and death’s chains for eternal life.
The Lord is rich in mercy, and He has so spoken,
“All you weary come to Me, and have rest from your strife.”
