The True Story of Jesus

Come listen to the true story of Jesus the Nazarene.
He laid His life down for me, a sinner condemned, unclean.

The God of all creation was born on Earth as a man.
He left the splendor of Heaven to enact His salvific plan.

He Who formed the oceans was incarnate in human form.
He walked upon the waters to rescue us from sin’s storm.

He experienced human weakness because He’s gentle and meek.
And when the soldiers struck Him, He turned the other cheek.

The Lord our God came from Heaven above,
To shower us with mercy and love.
He descended gracious and meek like a dove,
To powerfully, death, away from us shove.

Give ear to the beautiful story of Almighty God Who bled and wept.
As we fell into the pit He to our rescue lept.

The penalty for our sin is death so Jesus died in our place.
Even though we broke His law, God shone on us His face.

Willingly for the world’s sin, Jesus was crucified.
God’s heart, for us, is filled with love and this is why He died.

But He did not stay buried, He rose on the third day.
To be raised to life and cleansed of sin, Jesus is the one true Way.

Hallelujah to the King of kings,
Because of His death, life to us springs.
By faith, take shelter under His wings,
For to all who trust Him, life He brings.

Come believe in the good true story of Jesus the Nazarene.
He’s shown us love and mercy heretofore unseen.

All are invited to come to Him and receive His gift of life.
By grace through faith be forgiven your sin and have rest from all your strife.

Blessed be the Name of Jesus our Savior, Lord and God.
He has raised us up to life to in Heaven with Him trod.

Forever we will sing the praise of Him Who chose to die.
Glory, glory to the King, Jesus the Lord Most High.
