Oh Rock of Ages firm beneath my feet,
Oh Rock of Ages plant my roots down deep,
In You, You, You; Jesus, plant my life in You.
Oh Lord Jesus, I give You my life.
You came to my rescue and ended my strife.
Before I met You I was dead in my sin;
A cage of gloomy, dark sorrow, I was trapped in.
But then You came down and broke my chains.
You paid for my sin with the blood from Your veins.
You bore my sorrow, all my sin and grief;
Quenched my soul’s thirst and gave me relief.
Lord, I believe You died in my place,
Because of Your love and abundant grace.
You rose from the grave and then raised me too,
Up to eternal life spent with You.
Oh Rock of Ages firm beneath my feet,
Oh Rock of Ages plant my roots down deep,
In You, You, You; Jesus, I live my life for You.
Oh Lord Jesus, the Rock that was cleft for me,
In You I take refuge; thank You for setting me free.
At Your feet I lay my life down.
Lord, I love You, and live for Your renown.
Just as Samson used the donkey’s jaw bone,
Use me in my weakness to make Your Name known.
No branch can bear fruit unless to the Vine it has cleaved;
Open my mouth to proclaim what from You I’ve received.
Please Lord keep me in the palm of Your hand,
For only in You are the dead raised to stand.
Oh Good Shepherd, bind me to Your side.
Your love is a river flowing deep and wide.
Oh Rock of Ages firm beneath my feet,
Oh Rock of Ages plant my roots down deep,
In You, You, You; Jesus, new life is found in You.
