Thank You Lord

Thank You Lord for giving me the breath of life,
For bearing all my sin and strife,
And that Your heart with love is rife;
Thank You Lord.

Blessed be Your holy name Jesus Christ my Lord.
Thank You that when we call to You, we are not ignored.
You are sovereign, high and lifted up; the Ruler of all things,
But You bent down to drink the cup, though You are King of kings.

Oh God what kind of love is this, that You would die for us?
Who could imagine a friendship like we have in You Jesus?
For our sin we deserve to die, but You fell in our place.
You are rich in mercy Lord Most High and You poured on us Your grace.

Thank You for creating me and buying me new life with Your blood.
You endured such suffering and washed my sin away in a flood.
The torrent of Your holy wrath, You swallowed on the cross.
For us, to life, You forged a path, consuming our sin’s dross.

Thank You Lord for giving me the breath of life,

Oh Lord You Who raised us up from the dust of the ground,
Left the splendor of Heaven above that Your lost sheep might be found.
Our ransom for You to pay, was no light, easy thing.
You took on flesh oh Lord Yahweh; became a servant though You’re King.

You, Who are from everlasting, were buried, dead in a tomb,
But in three days You, our conquering King, rose up from the gloom.
Death is defeated, the victorys’ won; You are mighty to save.
All who repent and trust in You will freely be forgave.

Thank You Lord for giving me the gift of repentance and faith.
Help me to grow in love, trusting in every word You saith.
Hallelujah to You Lord; blessed be the Lamb.
All glory, praise and honor be to You the great I Am.
