Come To Me

Come to Me, My children; why should you die?
I already paid for your sins.
Believe in Me; spit out the serpent’s lie.
Once you trust in Me, life begins.

I Am the resurrection and the life;
The Source of all goodness and light.
Come obtain peace in exchange for strife,
Trade blindness for spiritual sight.

None of you are righteous, no not one,
But My heart is full of love for you.
For this reason I fought death and won,
To raise you to life anew.

It is I Whom you thirst for,
Come to Me and I’ll give you rest.
Eternal life and joy is what’s in store,
For all who come to Me are forever blessed.

Look to Me and see Me nailed,
For your sin on the cross.
Though perfect and holy I was assailed,
With the fire to cleanse your dross.

But this fate I faced for the joy,
Of saving you whom I love.
Sin’s power over you I did destroy,
To raise you from the grave with Me above.

Just as I rose from the tomb,
After only three days.
If you trust that, your sin, I did consume,
I will also you so raise.

Come to Me and bend the knee,
That I might lift you up.
Surrender your life and I’ll set you free,
Anoint your head and fill your cup.

Those who know Me, know not want,
For I supply their every need.
Of joy and pleasure, I’m the Font,
And My sheep I amply feed.

I’ve asked you for naught but faith,
And even this I give by grace.
Abide and trust in the words I saith;
Hope in Me yields not disgrace.

Come to Me, be immersed in rapturous love;
Your greatest good is what I intend.
Your sin, to Me, the transfer of,
Is ample proof I’m your greatest Friend.

Blessed are You our God and King,
And worthy of all praise.
Jesus Christ, to You we sing;
You are perfect in all Your ways.
