Hold Me Close

Blessed be the Name of the Lord,
He that, by all heaven, is adored.
Forever I will sing Your praise,
Jesus Christ, Ancient of Days.

Hold me close, let me not stray,
From Your righteous will Yahweh.
Forever shall You rule and reign,
And in Your hand I will remain.

Oh Good Shepherd bind me to,
Yourself; keep me close to You.
If need be please hobble me;
With bonds of love set me free.

Enclose me in Your blessed fold,
Where I may Your majesty behold.
In Your presence is delight,
My Lord, my Savior, Life and Light.

Forever with You I shall dwell,
Because in my place You fell.
You have showered me with grace;
Borne all my sin and disgrace.

I fell headfirst in sin’s deep pit,

But in love You chased me down;

You gave Your life in place of mine,
To raise me up to heights divine.

Now my sin is washed away,
By Your righteous blood Yahweh.
Jesus Christ, my God and King,
May all the earth, Your praises, sing.

Lord, only one thing I ask:
To forever, in Your presence, bask.
Heaven is to be with You,
To hear Your voice and Your face view.
