Nothing Is Hidden

Nothing said or done in the dark,
Is hidden from the Most High.
To these words, I bid you, hark,
All will be laid bare under the clear blue sky.

To the Lord is revealed the core of our being.
Nothing we’ve done or said is unseen.
Almighty God, He is all seeing,
And all of our hearts are unclean.

Figs leaves won’t hide our transgression;
As with Cain, the ground witnesses against us.
Let us beseech God’s mercy with confession,
And plead the blood of King Jesus.

Oh Lord in Heaven, have mercy;
Please wash our sins away.
Satisfy our souls that are thirsty,
And rescue us from death and decay.

Against God we have all sinned,
And for this we can’t atone.
But the Lord, seeing us in chains of death pinned,
Loving kindness to us has shown.

Our iniquity cannot be ignored,
For to do so would make Him unjust.
But that life to us might be restored,
Jesus came to dwell in the dust.

God Himself became clothed with flesh;
Christ the Lord, of a virgin, was born.
In order to give us life afresh,
For our sin He was beaten and torn.

The just penalty for sin is death,
So, in love, our God willingly died.
He dove down into the darkest depth,
So our ransom could be supplied.

Once we trust in Him we are cleansed,
And raised up to eternal life.
The one who on Christ alone does depend,
Is rescued from all sin and strife.

He clothes us with robes of righteousness,
And no longer sees our sin.
As a result of His loving graciousness,
From dark to light we’re brought in.

Hallelujah to our God Who sees all;
Though our wickedness, before Him, is laid bare,
In our place He’s chosen to fall,
Now, of our sin, He’s no longer aware.

This is true only for the redeemed,
And all are invited to this glorious redemption.
Come to Jesus; know love heretofore undreamed.
He welcomes all with a loving reception.
