One more day traveling on this old dusty road.
One more day closer to the streets paved with gold.
Jesus the good Shepherd brought me into His fold,
To live in His kingdom where I’ll never grow old.
One day the skies will open, and the trumpet will sound.
The Earth will be filled with the light of Jesus all around.
But if I don’t live till that day, I know I shall rise.
I’ll enter God’s kingdom and claim my heavenly prize.
Blessed be the name of Jesus, Hallelujah.
I know I’m protected by the Lion of Judah.
One more day traveling through the land of my exile.
One more day down and one less mile.
Though I tread through valleys dark and hostile,
I know the Lord Jesus walks with me all the while.
He’ll take me up the mountain to His heavenly abode.
Eternal life with Him is at the end of this road.
He died for my sin and rose back up from the tomb,
So I know that from my grave to life I’ll rise and bloom.
All glory to the King of kings Who bled for us and wept.
Every promise from His mouth will be perfectly kept.
One day I’ll be done traveling and cross the finish line.
One day I’ll enter Heaven and see Jesus the Divine.
I’ll live with Him forever and joy never will decline.
I will dwell in His house and at His table dine.
And so I march on forward bent down low but head held high,
Fixing my gaze on Jesus Who’ll wipe the last tear from my eye.
