The Battle Belongs to Him

The battle belongs to Him Who created the earth and sky.
Jesus, King of kings unto Whom we lift our cry.

Every power and authority will be placed under His feet.
We are marching toward the day when Heaven and Earth shall meet.

Through caverns deep and valleys dark we’re following the Light;
Jesus Christ our Savior Who has overcome the night.

Pick up your shield and grab your sword; the living Word of God.
Trampling the serpent, hand in hand with Christ we trod.

Lift your eyes to Jesus; fix your gaze upon His face.
He alone is the ransom Who paid for the sin of Adam’s race.

None who trust in Him shall fall and ever fail to rise.
For through His own selfless death, death met its demise.

He left behind the perfect splendor of Heaven above,
To come and fight for us in His mercy, grace and love.

Evil thought that it had won when He hung on the cross,
But this was in fact the very moment of its loss.

For Jesus roared from on the cross a shout of victory,
“It is finished! Death is done; Repent and look to Me!”

Then He breathed His last and He was buried in a tomb,
But after three days had passed, He rose up from the gloom.

Death is defeated, sin is sunk; Jesus is victorious.
The Lamb of God, the Lion of Judah’s eternally glorious.

Repent of sin and trust in Christ for He is eager to save.
Everyone who calls on Him will surely be forgave.

He is the Light and He is love; our God has ransomed us.
In Him we all will rise again; praise the Lord Jesus.
