Beloved of the Lord

Sing a song, oh Redeemed,
You beloved of the Lord.
By the Most High, we’re esteemed,
And His love on us has poured.

Oh lift your eyes, see Him hanging on the tree,
Crucified for sin, dying to set us free.

Behold Him there, a crown of thorns adorns His brow.
Blood mingled with sweat and tears is trickling down.

Jesus Christ, the Lord Most High Who stooped so low;
From His gaping wounds we see His mercy flow.

So, sing a song, oh Redeemed,
You beloved of the Lord.
By the Most High, we’re esteemed,
And His love on us has poured.

Our debt’s been paid with the blood of the Divine.
He loved us even in our sin and paid our fine.

Christ gave His life and was buried in the grave,
But He rose up again for, to death, He’s no slave.

Now hear Him beckoning to one and to all;
Repent, trust and be raised up to life from the fall.

And sing a song, oh Redeemed,
You beloved of the Lord.
By the Most High, we’re esteemed,
And His love on us has poured.

Take heart my friends and be of good cheer.
Death is defeated for Christ the King is here.

Fill the air with songs of praise to the King;
Eternal life is found in Him and death has lost its sting.

Hallelujah to Christ the risen One,
Our good and gracious God Who has the victory won.

Yes, sing a song, oh Redeemed,
You beloved of the Lord.
By the Most High, we’re esteemed,
And His love on us has poured.
